BIO
Jim Osborne (b.1997) is a contemporary British painter, currently living and working on the West Coast of Cumbria as artist in residence at The Shipping Brow Gallery. His practice aims to colourise experiences of landscape and place, predominantly capturing the quietude and intimacy of the coastalscape and harbour life of the British Isles.
Painting with an allaprima approach, Jim offers a unique tactile lens blending plein-air and studio based work, informing scenes that exist somewhere between realism and memory.
